Refund Policy

The AI one-person-company course (OPCS) self-paced video course at $99, which is the version of OPCS currently on sale, follows the OPCS self-paced rules below.

Muse in Practice (Muse 实战课, $39), a self-paced video course of 27 recorded lessons, follows its own section below. The live-cohort rules do not apply to it.

Live cohorts — sessions taught live on a published schedule, including the live tracks of our other programs — follow the live-cohort rules below. The OPCS live season (the cohort that began June 24, 2026; online $199 / in-person $299) has finished and is no longer sold, and the date of the next live cohort is to be confirmed. The live-cohort rules continue to apply to students who enrolled in a live cohort and to any live cohort we open in the future.

Physical products are not covered by the course rules on this page. We are not selling any physical product at the moment — the book The Cognitive Machine (《认知机器》) is off the shelf — but see the physical-products section below.

The OPCS self-paced video course is non-refundable. Paying opens the entire course library to you immediately — all session recordings and all courseware — so there is no undelivered portion to refund and the pro-rata rules below do not apply to it.

Read the course page before you buy: it lists every session, what you get, and what the course does not include. If anything is unclear, email contact@bayaiu.ai before you pay and we will answer in writing. If you are charged twice, or you never get access to the course, that is our error — email us and we will refund it.

Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

Muse in Practice (Muse 实战课) is non-refundable. All 27 lessons unlock the moment you pay, so there is no undelivered portion. The live-cohort rules below do not apply to it.

Muse itself is Meta's product, and it is currently available only in the United States. The course fee does not include any Muse subscription. Check that you can use Muse where you are before you buy, and if anything is unclear, email contact@bayaiu.ai before you pay and we will answer in writing.

If you are charged twice, or you never get access to the course, that is our error — email us and we will refund it.

For a live cohort, you may cancel for a full refund any time before the program starts, and through the end of the calendar day (Pacific time) on which your first live session takes place. Attend the opening session and decide it's right for you — no questions asked.

After your first live session, and until 60% of the scheduled course hours have been delivered, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the portion of the program not yet delivered. This is intended to align with applicable California education regulations.

Once 60% of the scheduled course hours have been delivered, enrollment in a live cohort is non-refundable, because the majority of the live instruction has been delivered and your seat could not be offered to another student.

The course rules above do not apply to physical products. We are not selling one right now: the book The Cognitive Machine (《认知机器》) is off the shelf, no orders can be placed, and no order is outstanding. If the book goes back on sale, its return and refund terms will be published on the product page before you can order. If you ever receive a damaged book or an order does not arrive, email contact@bayaiu.ai and we will make it right.

Email contact@bayaiu.ai from the address on your account, with your name, your order details, and which course and version you bought — the OPCS self-paced video course, Muse in Practice, or a live cohort. We confirm eligibility and process approved refunds promptly.

Refunds are calculated on the amount you actually paid (after any referral discount) and returned to your original payment method. Card refunds via Stripe typically post within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Alipay payments are processed through Stripe and are refunded the same way — back to your Alipay account, on a similar timeline.

If you upgraded from one course to another by paying the difference, your enrollment consists of two separate charges, and a refund is returned as two separate refunds to the same payment method.

If you believe you are owed a refund, please contact us first — we are happy to help. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution and your access to the course.
